The Clinical Skills and Simulation team are committed to improving and optimising patient safety and quality of care through the development and implementation of innovative, high quality sustainable training programmes.
Our services are aimed at:

Our current facilities are housed in the Medical Education Centre; with plans for another state of the art Simulation suite in the New Academic Centre from Dec 2018. Each suite includes two Simulation rooms with adjoining observation rooms and a fully equipped clinical skills room. The Simulation suites offer high fidelity mannequins - SimMan, SimMum, SimBaby, SimJunior, and SimMan 3G. Our clinical skills services for medical students and FY1/2 Doctors, ranges from essential skills, IV cannulation, through to advanced skills - CVC insertion, chest drain insertion and more.
The Clinical Skills and Simulation Team is committed to training at all levels. We continue to develop our range of services as our department evolves. For the full range of clinical skills training we offer please contact us. (Bespoke training can also be arranged).

The Sim Scenario Template will assist you in creating your scenario and this must be completed and sent to us at least two weeks before you scheduled SIM session.
