Incidents of bullying and harassment often remain unchallenged because individuals do not want to raise a formal complaint against a colleague, often in their own team. They simply want the behaviour to stop.
To support employees with incidents of bullying and harassment the Trust has implemented a Bullying and Harassment Advisory Scheme. The scheme is designed to provide a neutral, independent and confidential advisory support service for employees who would benefit from talking in confidence about a potential harassment and bullying issue, without the initial need for direct HR involvement.
Voluntary Advisers will provide support to help address and resolve issues informally.

We are looking for more Advisers to join the scheme. If you think you have the skills and would be interested in supporting your colleagues with instances of bullying and harassment, please register your interest with Thomas Dunckley, HR Business Partner via [email protected]. Full training and ongoing support for Advisers will be provided.
On 3 April 2019 the President of the RCS Edinburgh circulated the attached document as a resource from a variety of bodies to support work to stop bullying in the NHS.
